Manchester City will look to move closer to the top of the Premier League standings when they face leaders Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
While the Merseyside giants currently possess a five-point lead over City, Pep Guardiola's side have a game in hand on the defending champions.
Although City's injury issues have eased in recent weeks, the Spaniard still faces the prospect of being without a number of first-team players for the clash at the Etihad Stadium.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of squaring off against their most likely title rivals.
Sergio Aguero
Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: November 8 (vs. Liverpool)
Aguero is currently nursing a hamstring problem - sustained in City's draw with West Ham United - and the Argentine has missed the last three matches. Although the forward is likely to return after the international break, he is yet to be ruled out of Sunday's match.
Fernandinho
Status: Out Type of injury: Leg Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)
Fernandinho was forced off with a leg problem in City's opening 2020-21 Champions League game against Porto. The veteran will not take to the field for Guardiola's men until after the next international break.
Benjamin Mendy
Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)
Like the Brazilian, a recent injury is expected to keep Mendy out until later this month. Given the players at his disposal, Guardiola will see little reason to take any risks on the left-back.
MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST
Man City have no players suspended for the fixture in the North-West.
