Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Copenhagen

Man City injury, suspension list vs. Copenhagen

Manchester City will be bidding to make it seven straight wins in all competitions when they travel to Copenhagen in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Citizens recorded a 5-0 victory over Copenhagen in the European Cup last week, which moved them onto nine points in Group G, and a victory here would guarantee their spot in the knockout rounds of the competition.

Pep Guardiola's side were also big winners in the Premier League on Saturday, putting four unanswered goals past Southampton to move to the top of the table.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with the Danish outfit.

Kyle Walker

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown

Kyle Walker underwent groin surgery last week, which has made him a major doubt for the World Cup, and he will not be available for Man City for the foreseeable future.

Kalvin Phillips

Status: Out Type of injury: Shoulder Possible return date: Unknown

Central midfielder Kalvin Phillips is not expected to be back on the field until November, also making him a doubt for the World Cup, due to a recent shoulder operation.

John Stones

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: October 16 (vs. Liverpool)

John Stones was again missing against Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday due to a hamstring problem, and the centre-back has been left out of the squad for this match.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man City have no active players banned for this match, but Benjamin Mendy remains suspended by the club.
