Team News: Sergio Aguero retains place in attack, David Silva returns

Sergio Aguero once again leads the Manchester City attack for tonight's FA Cup tie at Wigan Athletic, while Leroy Sane and David Silva are among those to return.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been retained in attack for tonight's FA Cup fifth-round tie at Wigan Athletic.

The Argentina international is one of five players to keep their place in the Citizens' starting lineup on the back of last week's 4-0 win in Basel.

Ederson, Kyle Walker, Kevin De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany each drop down to the bench at the DW Stadium, while Nicolas Otamendi and Raheem Sterling miss out on the 18-man squad altogether.

City boss Pep Guardiola has opted to go with cup specialist Claudio Bravo in goal, and the Chilean stopper is joined by Danilo, John Stones, Aymeric Laporte, Leroy Sane and David Silva for the trip up the M61.

In terms of the home side, who famously beat today's opponents in the 2013 final, boss Paul Cook has made three alterations to his starting lineup.

Callum Elder, David Perkins and Gary Roberts are all recalled from the 2-0 loss at home to Blackpool six days ago, taking over from Reece James, Michael Jacobs, Samy Morsy, the latter of whom is absent due to suspension.

Devante Cole, James Vaughan and Donervon Daniels are all ineligible for the Latics, meanwhile, as they look for a third successive win against Man City in this competition.

Wigan Athletic: Walton; Elder, Burn, Dunkley, Byrne; Power, Perkins; Roberts, Powell, Massey; Grigg
Subs: Jones, Bruce, Jacobs, Hunt, James, Colclough, Fulton

Manchester City: Bravo; Danilo, Stones, Laporte, Delph; Fernandinho, Silva, Gundogan; Bernardo, Aguero, Sane
Subs: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, De Bruyne, Zinchenko, Foden, Diaz
