Real Mallorca have confirmed in a statement that they will be without Joao Victor for the rest of the season after he suffered a knee injury.
Victor limped out of Mallorca's 2-1 home defeat to Granada last weekend with suspected knee ligament damage.
The club have revealed on their official website that the Brazilian midfielder will miss at least six months with the injury.
Mallorca's statement read: "Tests have confirmed that Joao Victor, who had to go off during Sunday's game against Granada, has ruptured the cruciate ligament in his right knee.
"This type of injury requires between six and seven months' recuperation."
Despite injury problems to key players Javi Marquez, Nunes and Antonio Lopez, Mallorca have made a strong start to the season, sitting in sixth place in the La Liga table.
