Jesus Gamez wants Isco stay at Malaga

Malaga defender Jesus Gamez has said that he wants playmaker Isco to remain at the club next season.

The Spain international has been linked with a move to Manchester City this summer.

"If Isco is sold, it will be because the owner sees it as necessary or wants to do it," ESPN quotes Gamez as saying. "Whether we continue to grow is in his hands now. It would be a pity not to continue with this.

"Having reached where we reached, where nobody could have imagined, is a source of pride for us, and we do not want to take a step backwards. We want to keep moving forward."

Isco joined Malaga from Valencia in 2011.
