Jairo Samperio leaves Sevilla to join Mainz 05

Spanish winger Jairo Samperio has completed a move to Mainz 05 from Sevilla on a four-year deal.

Reports earlier this week had suggested that the 21-year-old failed a medical with the Bundesliga side, but those concerns have been dismissed with the confirmation of the transfer for an undisclosed fee.

"Jairo's a classic winger," Mainz head coach Kasper Hjulmand revealed in a statement. "He's quick, a bag of tricks, strong in one-on-one situations and makes excellent runs for his teammates.

"He's got all the attributes to fit seamlessly into our side."

Jairo scored four times in 25 appearances for Sevilla last season.
