Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier has insisted that he does not regret signing a new contract with the Ligue 1 club.

The 22-year-old Frenchman was linked with a move to Arsenal over the summer before committing his future to Les Gones.

"I don't have any regrets about extending my contract, quite the contrary," Grenier told RMC Radio. "I'm still learning. I hope that we're going to have a good season."

Grenier signed his first professional deal with Lyon in 2009 after spending seven years in the club's youth system.
