Nice fight back to overcome Lorient with 3-1 home victory

Goals from Eric Bautheac, Alexy Bosetti and Carlos Eduardo earned Nice a 3-1 victory over Lorient in Ligue 1 this evening.

Claude Puel's men came from behind to win at the Allianz Riviera after Lorient opened the scoring after just six minutes.

Mehdi Mostefa guided a headed pass into the path of striker Benjamin Jeannot and he made no mistake with a finish into the top-left corner.

The visitors came unstuck in the 29th minute as Maxime Barthelme brought down the tricky Eduardo inside the box, leaving Bautheac to step up and draw his side level from the spot.

After a cagey opening to the second half, Nice took the lead through Bosetti, who could not miss from a mere yard out after he was found by Eduardo's cross in the 60th minute.

The home side's comeback was completed seven minutes later through the influential Eduardo, as he collected a header from Alassane Plea before shooting on the turn into the top corner past Benjamin Lecomte.
