Lorient power past Nice

A strong performance from Lorient has given them all three points against Nice in a 3-0 win in Ligue 1.

The visiting side were almost in front after seven minutes in spectacular style but Valentin Eysseric's long-range free kick went just wide.

Not long after the hosts were in front. Kevin Monnet-Paquet was found by Yann Jouffre and he finished low to make it 1-0.

Just before the break Raphael Guerreiro found himself with acres of space but his effort went high and wide when he really should have hit the target.

In the second half the hosts upped the pressure again and it was all too much for Jordan Amavi, who put through his own net on 72 minutes.

If the points were not already safe, Vincent Aboubakar made sure with a fine low finish from an angle in the box.
