Benfica midfielder Lazar Markovic arrives in Liverpool to reportedly undergo a medical with the Anfield side ahead of a proposed move to the club.

Lazar Markovic has reportedly arrived in Liverpool for a medical ahead of his proposed move to Anfield.

The Benfica midfielder has been linked with a move to the club in recent weeks, but it was reported that his medical was put back earlier this week because of a "logistical issue".

101greatgoals has published a picture of the Serbian posing with a fan after arriving in Liverpool this evening, while reporting that he is on the verge of signing for Brendan Rodgers's side.

Markovic posted a goodbye message to Benfica's fans on his Facebook page earlier today.
