Liverpool are reportedly weighing up whether to trigger the release clause in Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Julian Brandt's contract.
The Reds came close to signing the Germany international before last season, only for Bayer to persuade him to stay on with a new deal.
Brandt went on to play a part in all three of his national side's World Cup group matches, and he has been used 32 times by Leverkusen this term.
With Jurgen Klopp still looking to bolster his midfield and attacking ranks, though, Bild reports that the 22-year-old is back on Liverpool's radar.
The report suggests that Brandt negotiated a release clause of just £21.6m, making him an affordable option for the Premier League leaders.
The majority of Brandt's 204 games for Leverkusen have come in the wide positions.
