Report: Middlesbrough 'not interested' in Rickie Lambert

Middlesbrough will not make an offer for Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert, according to reports.

Rumours surfaced last night that Lambert was joining up with the squad in Marbella today, but Gazette Live claims that Boro have decided against making a move for the 33-year-old.

Lambert struggled to make an impact at Liverpool last season, scoring just three goals, but he did score 31 goals in his only season at Championship level when at Southampton.

Boro have also been linked with strikers Patrick Bamford and Jordan Rhodes.
