Klopp hints at Origi, Minamino exits

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted that Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino will both head for the exit door this summer.

Neither attacker has started a Premier League game for the Reds this term, with Minamino being pushed further down the pecking order with the January arrival of Luis Diaz.

Origi has been expected to leave as a free agent ahead of his deal expiring in June anyway, and Klopp has suggested that the Reds will be waving goodbye to both players at the end of the season.

"It is crazy because we still have Divock and Taki on top of that. It is incredibly hard for him and for me as well because it is really tough these kind of things. Taki is in an incredible moment," Klopp told Sky Sports News.

"It is unlikely with the size of the squad that we now stay exactly like this together. For sure, some of the players do not play often enough for their own understanding and we will see what will come in the summer and find solutions for those situations. But the core of the group has to stay together. There is no doubt about that."

Origi has scored five goals and set up three more in 14 appearances for the Reds this season, while Minamino boasts nine goals and one assist from 22 matches in all competitions.
