Andreas Granqvist 'flattered' with Liverpool link

Genoa defender Andreas Granqvist has admitted that he 'does not know much' about reported interest from Liverpool.

The 27-year-old joined the Italian club from Groningen in the summer, but his performances have already seen the Swede linked with a move away from the club.

"Honestly, I don't know much about this. I am fully focused on these two matches and then we will see what happens," Granqvist told Sportbladet.

"I am truly enjoying myself in Genoa, but obviously it's flattering to be linked with Liverpool. It's a historical club with much success. It has gone very well for me and I have got much positive feedback in Italy."

Granqvist has played in the Premier League with Wigan Athletic.
