A report claims that Everton have laughed off speculation linking Brazilian forward Richarlison with a move to Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

Everton reportedly have absolutely no desire to sell Richarlison to Liverpool, despite the fee the forward could potentially command.

Reports emerged in Brazil overnight suggesting that the Reds are lining up a shock swoop for their Merseyside rivals' prized asset.

Jurgen Klopp is alleged to have recently held talks with the agent of Richarlison, who commanded a £35m transfer fee last summer and has possibly doubled that figure with his goals return for Everton and the Brazil national side.

Richarlison has 12 goals in 30 Premier League appearances for the Toffees this term, as well as striking three times in eight caps for the Selecao.

The Liverpool Echo reports that Everton have responded to the apparent interest from Liverpool by laughing off the reports, though, as they see it as nothing more than speculation and do not plan to sell at any price anyway.

Everton handed Richarlison, also a rumoured target for Barcelona, a five-year contract when he joined last July.
