Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic plays rumours that Jude Bellingham has already agreed to make the move to Real Madrid.

Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic has played down rumours that Jude Bellingham has already agreed to make the move to Real Madrid during this summer's transfer window.

The 19-year-old's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with a number of the biggest clubs in world football believed to be keen on his signature.

However, last week, it was claimed that Real Madrid had won the race, with Los Blancos closing in on a big-money deal for the in-demand England international.

Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl refused to comment on the speculation when questioned on the matter last week.

Terzic has now said that he is not aware of any discussions surrounding a switch to Real Madrid, who are attempting to beat the likes of Manchester City to his signature.

"I haven't even heard from him that he's involved with another club," Terzic told reporters.

Bellingham has been in excellent form for Dortmund during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 11 goals and registering seven assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.

BVB are currently locked in a battle for the Bundesliga title, sitting second in the division, one point behind the reigning champions Bayern Munich with four games left to play.

Bellingham made the move to Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020, allegedly rejecting an offer from Manchester United in order to continue his career in Germany.

The teenager has now featured on 130 occasions for the Bundesliga outfit in all competitions, contributing 21 goals and 25 assists during an impressive spell.

Real Madrid are believed to be willing to pay a base fee of €100m (£88.3m) for the midfielder, with the deal potentially rising to €120m (£105.9m) through various add-ons.

Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are both expected to sign extensions with Real Madrid in the near future, but the duo are almost certain to leave at the end of next season.

Los Blancos could therefore have the likes of Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde as their midfield options in the coming years.

Liverpool, at one stage, were regarded as the favourites for Bellingham, but the Reds have now dropped their interest due to the cost of the deal.
