New West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew is reportedly considering a January move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings.

New West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew could reportedly make a move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings in the January transfer window.

The former West Ham United and Newcastle United boss took over at The Hawthorns this week following the sacking of Tony Pulis with the club on the brink of the Premier League relegation zone.

Pardew is expected to be given a modest transfer kitty in order to strengthen in January and, according to the Birmingham Mail, Ings is among the players on his wishlist.

The 25-year-old has endured a difficult time since moving to Anfield in 2015, with a series of injuries keeping him on the sidelines for much of that time.

Ings is now back in action after recovering from a knee problem, although he has been used just once by Reds manager Jurgen Klopp this season and could be farmed out on loan as he builds up his match fitness.

Pardew is a known admirer of Ings and made an unsuccessful attempt to make him a Magpies player before he moved to Liverpool, although in his new guise as West Brom manager he is likely to face competition for Ings from both Newcastle and West Ham.
