Martin Skrtel has moved a step closer to signing a new deal, according to the Liverpool defender's agent.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Wolfsburg were hoping to capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding his future by launching a summer move for the 30-year-old, but Liverpool could announce an extension in the near future.
"The only offer which is lying on Martin Skrtel's table right now is the extension of his contract from Liverpool," Karol Csonto is quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.
"We have been working on the details, and we will be finalising it soon.
"It is not true that he has some offer from the German club. I don't know anything even about their interest."
Liverpool are also believed to be close to an agreement over a new deal for Jordon Ibe.
