Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole previews the clash between two Champions League hopefuls as Tottenham host Liverpool at White Hart Lane.

Liverpool travel to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday hoping to build on a run of seven unbeaten Premier League matches.

After an indifferent start under new manager Brendan Rodgers, the Reds are starting to find form, thanks in no small part to the goalscoring exploits of Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan is almost certain to lead the Liverpool line again against Spurs, with teenage starlet Raheem Sterling and Jose Enrique providing support from the flanks.

With Andre Wisdom injured, Stewart Downing could continue at left back but Jordan Henderson is expected to be dropped in favour of Nuri Sahin in central midfield.

Hosting Spurs recorded their first win in five domestic matches when they beat West Ham United 3-1 on Sunday.

Brazilian midfielder Sandro was stretchered off during the London derby and is likely to miss out, but fit-again Moussa Dembele is available to deputise.

William Gallas could be recalled in favour of Michael Dawson, but Brad Friedel is poised to be among the substitutes again with Hugo Lloris now seemingly first-choice goalkeeper under Andre Villas-Boas.

Recent form:

Spurs: WLLLW
Liverpool: DWDDD

Possible lineups:

Spurs: Lloris; Walker, Caulker, Gallas, Vertonghen; Huddlestone, Dembele; Lennon, Dempsey, Bale, Defoe

Liverpool: Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Downing; Allen, Sahin, Gerrard; Sterling, Enrique, Suarez

Sports Mole says: 1-2
