Andre Wisdom: 'Easy decision to sign new Liverpool deal'

Andre Wisdom admits that it was an "easy decision" to commit his long-term future to Liverpool.

Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom has admitted that it was an "easy decision" to sign a new deal with the club.

The 22-year-old penned fresh terms at Anfield on Tuesday, committing his long-term future to the Reds.

Wisdom spent the whole of the 2014-15 campaign on loan at West Bromwich Albion, but the youngster is now determined to make an impact on Brendan Rodgers's side.

"Committing my long-term future to Liverpool was an easy decision to make," he told the club's official website. "I'm already looking forward to pre-season training and linking back up with all the lads.

"I definitely picked up some good experience at West Brom and I am grateful to them for the opportunity they gave me and the faith they showed in me. But now I'm looking forward to challenging for a place back here at Liverpool. This is one of the world's biggest football clubs and it's an honour to be a part of it."

Liverpool finished the 2014-15 Premier League campaign in sixth place in the table.
