Martin Skrtel pleased with goal return

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has claimed that he is "happy" with his goal return this season.

The 27-year-old defender has scored four goals for the club this season, but has set his sights on improving his goal tally in the future.

"It's the most I've scored in a season because usually I don't get too many. I think I got one in my second full season here, then I got two. So I wanted to get three this season. I've got four at the moment and I'm happy with that," Skrtel told LFC Magazine.

"In the past I've got into decent positions and not taken the chances, maybe I've had more luck this season because I've been able to take them."

Skrtel has made 36 appearances for Liverpool this season.
