Martin Kelly reveals "worst injury"

Martin Kelly takes to Twitter to hint that he could miss the rest of Liverpool's season with a knee injury.

Liverpool defender Martin Kelly has suggested that he could be ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

The England international suffered the problem during the closing stages of his side's 2-1 defeat to rivals Manchester United yesterday afternoon.

He went for a scan earlier today and prior to that admitted on Twitter that he was "fearing the worst".

Although their has been no official word from the Reds as to results of that scan, the 22-year-old has been back on Twitter this afternoon to reveal that he is dealing with the "worst injury" of his career.

"What I can say is its not the worst injury I've had, and for sure ill be fighting for my place next year when I'm back fitter and stronger," he wrote.

Kelly joined Liverpool as a trainee in 1997.
