Liverpool youngster joins Northampton Town

Liverpool youngster Toni Silva has joined Northampton Town on a month-long loan.

Silva, 18, is a regular in the Liverpool reserves and is expected to push for a first-team spot at Anfield in the coming seasons.

Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd, however, thinks that Silva is ready for first-team football in League Two as he tries to lift his side off the bottom of the Football League.

Silva joined Liverpool from Benfica back in 2009, and is highly-rated at Anfield.
