Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard is expected to receive his 100th cap for England when the Three Lions take on Sweden in an international friendly next week.
England manager Roy Hodgson is expected to name the playmaker in his squad at midday today, despite initial plans to leave the 32-year-old out of the match following the Three Lions' 2014 World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Poland, according to The Express.
Gerrard, who is captain for the national side, will join England greats Peter Shilton, Bobby Moore, Billy Wright, Bobby Charlton and David Beckham in the list of players to have reached a century of games for their country.
Meanwhile, Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole is expected to miss out on claiming his 100th cap due to injury.
