Alexander Doni to stay at Liverpool

Liverpool goalkeeper Alexander Doni has vowed to remain at Anfield next season and fight for his place in the team.

The 32-year-old Brazilian joined the Reds from Roma on a free transfer last summer.

He has made only three appearances this season, conceding two goals as well as being sent off in the 3-2 win at Blackburn Rovers.

"I believe I am in the plans for next season," Doni told The Mirror. "I want to play matches and do well for the club" Doni made 148 Serie A appearances during six seasons in Rome.
