Brendan Rodgers hopeful Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana will be fit for Arsenal

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is hopeful that both Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana will be fit to face Arsenal on Saturday.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is hopeful that both Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana will be fit for Saturday's showdown against Arsenal at the Emirates.

The duo have been doubts for the Premier League clash after both pulled out of England duty last week with hip and groin injuries respectively.

Initial reports claimed that Sturridge could be out of action for one month, but his manager has revealed that the striker could feature at the weekend.

"Daniel is back training with the team today," Rodgers said in this afternoon's press conference. "We'll see the reaction of that tomorrow. Adam will hopefully be training with the team tomorrow and available for the weekend."

Meanwhile, Rodgers has insisted that Raheem Sterling will not leave the club this summer, despite the 20-year-old delaying contract talks until the end of the season.
