Salomon Kalou denies Lille exit rumours

Lille forward Salomon Kalou has denied reports that he wants to move away from the club in the January transfer window.

The former Chelsea striker has scored six goals and contributed two assists in Ligue 1 this campaign, with the Ivorian stating that he wants to continue fighting for his team's cause for the rest of the season.

"I'm happy here. Why change clubs mid-season?" Kalou told the press in France.

"We started well and I would like to continue until the end. We have a state of mind here which I will not find anywhere else."

Lille are currently sitting in third position in the Ligue 1 table.
