Rudi Garcia says that Lille want to qualify for European competitions next season.

Lille coach Rudi Garcia has said that his side are determined to finish in the top four in Ligue 1 this season.

Les Dogues won 5-0 against Lorient on Sunday to move up to fifth in the league table with 52 points from 31 matches.

"It's a beautiful win as we kept a clean sheet and scored five," he told reporters. "We need to build on what we showed this evening and we have a huge game next Sunday against Marseille.

"This evening we claimed back fifth place in the table and closed up on third place. There are still seven games and 21 points to go for.

"We want to be involved in the sprint finish and qualify for Europe. If the season finished tonight then we would not be qualified for anything and the road is still long."

Saint-Etienne and Lyon are third and fourth respectively in Ligue 1 on 53 points each.
