Libya 2-1 Senegal

Libya are eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations, despite a 2-1 Group A win over Senegal.

Libya have claimed their first ever victory on foreign soil with a 2-1 win over Senegal in Group A of the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, the result is not enough to see them through to the quarter-finals after Zambia's win over Equatorial Guinea.

Libya took the lead in the fifth minute when Ihaab AL Boussefi was found in the area before he poked past the goalkeeper.

It took Senegal only five minutes to find an equaliser as Ndiaye Deme N'Diaye nodded in Mamadou Niang's corner.

Senegal nearly took a half-time lead when Kader Mangane's header was cleared off the line.

In a second half of few opportunities, substitute Moussa Sow could have put Senegal ahead, but he was off target with his effort on the angle.

Libya took the lead with five minutes to go as Ihaab AL Boussefi fired in on the volley from eight yards out.
