Report: Levante lead Verza race

Levante are reportedly the favourites to sign Almeria midfielder Verza this summer.

The 28-year-old joined Almeria from Albacete in 2011 and has made almost 150 league appearances for the Spanish outfit.

The former Spain Under-19 international sees his current deal expire this summer, however, and it is widely thought that he will seek pastures new.

A number of La Liga clubs have been credited with an interest in the former Villarreal youngster, but according to Inside Spanish Football, Levante are in the driving seat.

It is thought that Verza could wait until the end of the season before deciding on his future, with Levante currently in the La Liga relegation zone - four points from safety.
