Leicester City manager Claude Puel says that his side needs to strengthen in the upcoming transfer window.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has said that his side needs to strengthen in the upcoming transfer window.

The Foxes boss has enjoyed a solid season in the Premier League and told reporters at a press conference that he has a good idea of where to look in order to develop his squad.

Puel added, however, that he will exercise caution in his choices before tabling any offers for potential targets.

"For the next season we have to strengthen the team and also in our character and desire," the Frenchman said. "Now we have a good idea of the strength of the squad and what we need to add to the team for next season.

"This club needs consistency and to develop something strong, with solidity and strength. We need to improve this team and develop some good players also. We will see the results next season.

"It is important to understand this and to have a good consistency in our work during the difficulties. A manager needs to keep the way in all conditions. This needs time and we need also to work hard in the summer in the transfer window."

Leicester could finish in eighth position on Sunday, should the Foxes beat Tottenham Hotspur and Everton lose to West Ham United.
