Steve Evans: 'Moments of quality won us the game'

Leeds United manager Steve Evans says that the difference between his side and Huddersfield Town was the three moments of quality that they produced in their 3-0 win.

Leeds United manager Steve Evans has admitted that he was not entirely pleased with his side's performance in the 3-0 victory at Huddersfield Town.

Evans acknowledged the moments of quality that his team produced as Mirko Antenucci, Chris Wood and Alex Mowatt scored either side of the break, but the former Rotherham United boss said that he was not impressed with the opening 40 minutes.

After the match, the 53-year-old told Sky Sports News: "We were disappointing for 40 minutes and scoring the goals did not change what we said to them at half time.

"We said that when you play against this football club, it means the world to teams to beat you, and we felt as though Huddersfield would be like that, especially with the new manager.

"We rode our luck a bit early doors, but the first bit of quality and we score a goal. The second bit of quality and we get a second goal, and then there is Mowatt. I don't need to say on TV what I think of him."

Leeds' second successive win has seen them move into 14th position in the Championship standings ahead of Saturday afternoon's fixtures.
