Manchester United 'scouting Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic'

Manchester United have allegedly sent scouts to watch Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is keen to add two midfielders to his squad this summer and has earmarked the Serbian as a possible option, reports the Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old is said to have been identified as a potential replacement for Marouane Fellaini or Michael Carrick, with the former likely to be sold and the latter due to retire at the end of the season.

Lazio rate Milinkovic-Savic at around £89m, but the report suggests that he underwhelmed when United sent their scouts to watch him, failing to impress in a 4-1 defeat to Red Bull Salzburg in the Europa League.

United are also said to be lining up Shakhtar Donetsk's Fred to fill the other soon-to-be-vacant midfield slot.
