Robbie Keane signs new Los Angeles Galaxy deal

Robbie Keane has signed a new "multi-year" contract extension with Los Angeles Galaxy.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool striker joined the Major League Soccer outfit in the summer of 2011 and was voted their Most Valuable Player for last season.

"The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has agreed to a multi-year contract extension with forward Robbie Keane," the Galaxy said on their official website.

"Per club and league policy, details of the contract were not released."

Keane is currently training with former club Tottenham ahead of the new MLS campaign.
