FC Koln defender Kevin Wimmer confirms Tottenham Hotspur switch

Kevin Wimmer has confirmed that he will join Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The FC Koln defender played his final game for the Bundesliga outfit this afternoon - a 2-2 draw against second-place Wolfsburg.

Having been strongly linked with Wimmer over the past few weeks, Spurs now appear to have landed his signature.

"I go to Tottenham to go to the next level of my career," the 22-year-old is quoted as saying by The Metro. "It is the next step in my development. I don't mind if they play next season in the Europa League."

The Austria international is rumoured to be valued at around £5m.
