Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Club Friendlies 1 clash between King's Lynn Town and Norwich City, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Norwich City played out a thrilling 2-2 stalemate against German lower league side Regensburg at the Sportzentrum Brandstatt on Saturday.

Dean Smith's men trailed on two occasions to strikes from Andreas Albers and Joshua Mees, but they hit back both times through Todd Cantwell and Jonathan Rowe.

The Canaries now prepare to take on an opposing side who have lost both of the previous two meetings between the teams, most recently a 3-1 contest back in 2021.

Ahead of a tantalising encounter against Olympique Marseille four days later, Tuesday's visitors will be aiming to pick up a morale-boosting victory before jetting off to France.

King's Lynn Town kicked off their pre-season journey with a comfortable 3-1 triumph against St. Ives at Westwood Road on Saturday.

Ricky Marheineke's men raced to a three-goal lead inside the opening 25 minutes thanks to strikes from Theo Widdrington, Gold Omotayo and Michael Clunan, and that was enough to get the job done.

The Linnets, who recently suffered relegation from the National League during the just-concluded campaign, will be keen to secure promotion back into the fifth tier of English football.

In the first of three consecutive friendlies on their own patch, Tuesday's hosts set out to give the cheering crowd their money's worth with a dominant display in this one.

Team News

Omotayo Gold has scored five times in his last four appearances for King's Lynn, and the Nigerian will be looking to continue his red-hot form in front of goal.

Kyle McFadden is out of Tuesday's game as he remains sidelined with a long-term knee problem which has seen him not feature since last November.

Nineteen-year-old Jonathan Rowe opened his account for the Norwich senior team last time out, and he will be looking to pick up where he left off.

Kieran Dowell was at the double for the away side in the last edition of this fixture, making the English midfielder one to keep an eye on.

King's Lynn Town possible starting lineup:
Paul; Jones, Bowry, Bird, Denton; Clunan, Widdrington, Sundire; Omotayo, Barrett, Charles

Norwich City possible starting lineup:
Gunn; Byram, Zimmermann, McCallum, Gibson; Dowell, Sorensen; Rashica, Cantwell, Lees Melou; Sargent

We say: King's Lynn Town 1-3 Norwich City

Norwich City boast the better players in every department of the pitch, and it would take something spectacular to deny them from coming out on top at the sound of the final whistle in this one.
