Romulo close to Juventus move

The agent of Romulo has confirmed that the Hellas Verona midfielder is close to securing a move to Juventus.

Verona only signed the 27-year-old on a permanent basis from Fiorentina early in July following a successful loan spell at the club, but it now appears inevitable that he will be playing for the champions at the beginning of the new Serie A season.

"It is virtually a done deal with Juventus," Alex Firminio told Calcio News. "We are delighted and want to thank everyone at Verona for believing in him.

"I will arrive in Italy and we will sign [the contract]. I've spoken to Romulo and he is really happy to have been given an opportunity like this at Juve."

Romulo made 32 appearances for Verona last season, scoring twice.
