Mauro Icardi agent 'meets Juventus chiefs to try to complete move'

Wanda Nara, the wife and agent of Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, has reportedly met with Juventus chiefs in Ibiza for talks to finalise a £54m transfer.

Icardi scored 17 goals in 37 appearances for Inter during the 2018-19 season, but was frozen out and stripped of the club captaincy during the campaign following remarks made by his wife on Italian television.

The Daily Mail claims that Nara met with Juventus director Fabio Paratici in Ibiza on Tuesday in an attempt to thrash out a deal for her husband.

New Juve manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly been a long-term admirer of the striker having previously tried to sign him while in charge of Napoli.

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has been heavily linked with a move to the San Siro as a potential replacement for Icardi.
