Lyon reportedly turned down the chance to sign Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira during the summer.
The 32-year-old only made 10 Serie A appearances for the Old Lady last season after struggling with injuries.
According to L'Equipe, Juve offered Lyon the opportunity to sign the German on loan for the 2019-20 campaign, but the Ligue 1 side's head coach Sylvinho rejected the move due to concerns over Khedira's fitness.
Khedira, who has a contract with Maurizio Sarri's side until the summer of 2021, has featured in both of his team's Serie A matches at the start of the new season.
The 2014 World Cup winner faces a tough task to secure regular action this term, though, with Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot both arriving as competition during the summer.
