Alessandro del Piero yet to agree Sydney FC move

Alessandro del Piero's manager has insisted that the former striker is yet to agree terms with Sydney FC.

Reports on Thursday suggested that the 37-year-old was ready to join the A-League club but Del Piero's brother and manager Stefano maintains otherwise.

"Obviously things were misinterpreted," Stefano Del Piero told ANSA. "We still have to properly analyse the project.

"[The offer] has not left Alessandro indifferent, we're talking about a two-year deal worth €2m a year. It's a serious offer but that doesn't mean everything's decided."

Del Piero played 705 games for Juventus in 19 seasons, scoring 289 goals.
