Cuneyt Cakir has been appointed as the referee for the 2015 Champions League final between Juventus and Barcelona in Berlin.

The 38-year-old, who has been an international referee since 2006, is vastly experienced in the European game having officiated 70 matches in UEFA competition throughout his career.

The Turk has refereed three previous European games involving Barcelona, and the same number for Juventus.

The showpiece event, which pits the champions of Italy against the champions of Spain, will take place on June 6.
