Fabio Capello is "adamant" that he does not want Italy job

Ex-England manager Fabio Capello insists that he will not replace Antonio Conte as Italy boss.

Former England boss Fabio Capello has ruled out taking the Italy job when Antonio Conte leaves his role after Euro 2016.

On Thursday, Italian Football Federation president Carlo Tavecchio claimed that he would be speaking to the 69-year-old about succeeding Conte.

However, Capello, who has previously managed the Three Lions and Russia, is "adamant" that he has no interest in taking the job.

"I can confirm that the national team does not interest me and I have no plans to meet anyone," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I am adamant."

Former Juventus coach Conte is heavily linked with becoming Chelsea's next full-time manager.
