Mario Balotelli named in provisional Italy squad

Cesare Prandelli names Mario Balotelli in his provisional 31-man squad for Euro 2012.

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has further reason to celebrate tonight after being named in Cesare Prandelli's provisional 31-man squad for Euro 2012.

AC Milan striker Antonio Cassano has also made the initial cut despite missing much of the campaign after suffering from heart problems.

Former West Ham United loanee Alessandro Diamanti could be in line for his first cap after receiving the call.

Prandelli will name his final 23-man squad on May 29.
