Italy boss Cesare Prandelli hints that he will make changes for their Confederations Cup clash with Brazil on Saturday.

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has suggested that he will make changes to his side for their Confederations Cup meeting with Brazil on Saturday.

Both teams have already qualified for the semi-finals of the competition, with Prandelli now prepared to give his squad players a start.

"The important thing is to find the balance we lacked against Japan. At this moment we need fresh legs. Technical tweaks won't make a difference - we need physical sharpness," he told reporters at a press conference.

"The Confederations Cup is a wonderful and important competition, which means we should all have the same time and opportunities to prepare. Instead, many sides – including Italy – had to play a World Cup qualifier in the lead-up."

Italy were 4-3 winners over Japan last time out.
