Cameron Stewart out for "four to six weeks"

A broken jaw will sideline Ipswich Town winger Cameron Stewart for "four to six weeks".

Ipswich Town will have to make do without the services of new signing Cameron Stewart for "four to six weeks".

The winger will undergo surgery shortly on the broken jaw that he suffered during the weekend's pre-season friendly against Leyton Orient.

"Cameron was caught by an arm late on in the game on Saturday and the scan has shown that he has fractured his jaw," Ipswich physio Matt Byard told the club's official website.

"He will have surgery in the morning and we will see where we stand from there but for that type of injury, you are looking at between four to six weeks on the sidelines."

As well as Stewart, Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy will be without Stephen Hunt for this weekend's Championship opener against Fulham.
