Lee Martin happy with Blackburn Rovers point

Ipswich Town midfielder Lee Martin says that he was happy with his side's point against Blackburn Rovers.

Ipswich Town midfielder Lee Martin has said that he was happy with earning a point against Blackburn Rovers this afternoon.

Ipswich had to rely on a late own goal from Rovers to secure a 1-1 draw, but Martin believes that his side deserved a share of the spoils.

"It was a well-earned point and it means we're off the mark for the season," Martin told the club's official website.

"The heat made it tough out there but it was tough for both teams and I thought we did well against a strong, experienced side.

"I think it would have been harsh on us if we had lost the game and I think there were some positive signs to take, as well as stuff we need to improve on. Now we need to build on this and take it into the next game."

Ipswich's next match comes against Watford on Tuesday evening.
