Report: Inter Milan move for Edinson Cavani over Romelu Lukaku

Inter Milan are reportedly ready to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani after being left frustrated in their pursuit of Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku.

The Serie A side have been unable to agree a fee with United for Lukaku, who is believed to be valued at close to the £80m mark by the Red Devils.

Juventus are now considered the favourites to sign the Belgium international and, according to beIN Sports, Inter are prepared to go after their second choice.

Cavani has spent six years in Italian football with Palermo and Napoli, scoring 104 goals in 138 games for the latter before moving to PSG in 2013.

Despite being used regularly by Thomas Tuchel last season, it has been suggested that the Parisians will consider replacing the 32-year-old this summer with a younger player.
