Inter Milan 'keeping tabs on Mario Gotze contract talks'

Inter Milan are reportedly keeping tabs on Mario Gotze's contract situation with Borussia Dortmund ahead of a potential move.

The 27-year-old's current deal with Lucien Favre's side expires next year and talks over an extension have reportedly stalled, partly because the midfielder is considering a move abroad.

Inter were believed to have made a late move for the World Cup winner this summer, and now Football Italia reports that the Nerazzurri are monitoring the midfielder's situation with Dortmund.

Gotze made 34 appearances for the German outfit last season but he has only played 23 minutes of competitive football so far this campaign.

The former Bayern Munich star missed a significant portion of time in 2016-17 after being diagnosed with the muscular disorder myopathy, which prevents the fibres in his muscles from working as they should.
