Inter Milan try to push out Liverpool, Newcastle United in Aly Cissokho bid?

Inter Milan have reportedly lodged an offer for Lyon defender Aly Cissokho in a bid to prevent Premier League clubs from nabbing the player.

The 24-year-old has been linked with both Liverpool and Newcastle United but the Italian giants have tried to push out their opponents in order to secure the Frenchman.

Reports in France have claimed that Inter have put forward a £6m offer for Cissokho in order to kick-start negotiations between the two parties, according to talkSPORT.

Despite the Serie A side's pursuit of the defender, Newcastle and Liverpool could remain in contention for Cissokho.
