Inter Milan veteran Javier Zanetti has stepped up his recovery from an Achilles injury.
The 40-year-old was stretchered off during April's 1-0 defeat to Palermo, but has always vowed to return instead of retiring.
"I feel good," he told Rai TV. "I've started running but I have a different training regime to my team-mates.
"I must improve my calf and build up the strength in my leg naturally."
The Argentine international, who has 145 caps for his country, joined the Nerazzurri from Banfield in 1995.
